Teeth Crocodile Park is one of the most entertaining animal parks in Mauritius. It is nestled deep inside one of the only remaining tropical jungles of the island. If you’ve had enough of chicken, beef or lamb, you can have a crisp crocodile meat burger at the restaurant “Le Crocodile Affamé” in the Crocodile Park … Gourmets with a sensitive heart can watch dozens of giant crocodiles moving about in their ponds and lounging in the sun instead. You can see hundreds of baby crocodiles in their incubators and marvel at the monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Wednesdays are not to be missed as you can watch the park’s staff feed chickens to the crocodiles. The “kind-hearted” tortoises of Aldabra are always ready to play with children who feed them tender sweetened lettuce leaves. The insectarium houses the most beautiful collection of butterflies and insects in the Indian Ocean, a majority of which are now extinct due to deforestation. The shop remains open for last minute souvenirs.
